Tricky development projects are our speciality. Our in-house development department and production also enable us to realise special individual applications to a high level of quality, including this probe sensor.
Sample project: Force measurement in the diving tunnel
The operator of a hydraulic dam approached us with a clear task. Maintenance work was due to be carried out on a weir. To this end, a 138-tonne tunnel was submerged underwater and mounted on the weir bed. This allowed the work to be carried out inside the diving tunnel in dry conditions.

The next step was to measure the forces acting within the submerged tunnel. These forces act underwater on the tunnel’s anchors. The aim was to verify the existing design under real-world conditions and to be able to optimise it where necessary.
No sooner said than done.
Our solution consisted of custom-designed load cells that enable precise force measurement. The existing standard load cells were replaced. We carried out the installation and cabling directly inside the tunnel.
A data logger continuously records the forces. Specially developed software presents the measured values clearly. This provides the customer with reliable data from real-world operation. The dimensions of the anchors can be reliably assessed and optimised if necessary.
Sample project: Intelligent probe
A manufacturer of moulded parts contacted us with the following task: develop an intelligent probe which approaches the die in conjunction with the universal holding fixture and enables reliable shutdown in the event of contact with the workpiece.
No sooner said than done.
The result was an intelligent probe sensor which functions with absolute precision. The development paid off for our customers, with the precision and quality of the workpieces machined reaching a hitherto unknown level. Thin and instable workpieces which had previously been difficult to machine with conventional media now no longer present a problem.
Our probe sensors are ideal for use in the aerospace industry, in automotive engineering during the processing of body parts and in many areas of metrology.
